Duo Report FNCS 2026 Major 2 · NAC Grand Finals
584 points, zero Victory Royales: the ritualx + cold duo report
GEN ritualx 9ǃ + twis cold 11ǃ never lifted a Victory Royale all weekend and still finished second of 50 NAC duos. The replays show how: eight top-10s, the most lopsided workload in the top ten, a storm that kept missing them, and the cheapest home address on the island.
The short version
GEN ritualx 9ǃ + twis cold 11ǃ finished second of 50 NAC duos with 584 points and zero wins at the FNCS 2026 Major 2 Grand Finals (August 1–2) — the biggest winless points haul in either region. The formula: eight top-10s in 12 games, only 28.8% of their points from eliminations, the most lopsided workload of any NAC top-10 duo (67.3/32.7 toward cold), the 5th-luckiest storm draw of 99 duos, and a home POI — The Battlewoods — with the shortest average rotation on the island.

Twelve games, no crowns, second place anyway
The NAC lobby crowned 11 different winners in 12 games — and none of them were ritualx and cold. It didn't matter. Their 584 points landed second only to twis acоrn + twis boltzZzero0's 617, ahead of GEN aj + XSET veno5x's 561, and their engine was placement: 42 team eliminations produced just 168 of their 584 points (28.8%). Compare the winless field — the next-best duos to score without a Victory Royale finished on 516 and 496 — and the gap is a full tier. Nobody in either region turned "never first" into more.

The signature
The 67/33 carry
No NAC top-10 duo split the work more unevenly: 67.3% of the fight output ran through twis cold 11ǃ — the widest split anywhere in the Grand Finals top ten. cold's 8,129 damage ranked 9th in the 200-player field (4th in NAC) and his 28 eliminations ranked 8th, while ritualx's 3,856 damage ranked 90th and his 14 elims 58th. cold's peak was a 1,292-damage Game 5 — the game they placed 2nd — and ritualx's biggest number, 556 in Game 6, came in the other one. Together they totaled 11,985 damage, only 12th among duos: this was never a volume team. One player hits; the plan places.

The storm kept missing them
Placement teams need the circle to cooperate, and this one did. Measuring storm tax — meters caught outside each freshly locked zone from phase 3 on — ritualx and cold paid 79.7 meters per game (956.3 total) against a field median of 378.4. That made them the 5th-luckiest of 99 duos all weekend. Luck isn't a skill, but banking it is: nearly free rotations are exactly what an 8-top-10s scoreline is built from.

Home-field advantage, quantified
Their address did the rest. The duo dropped The Battlewoods all 12 games, landing a median 86 meters from the POI marker with a 48.3-meter average game-to-game spread, and only one neighbor inside 250 meters — 7VEN AVIVV + fno veerǃ, a median 142 m away, who finished on 264 points. The Battlewoods was the weekend's best real estate on both counts that matter: shortest average haul to zone 5 of all 13 tracked POIs (557.6 m), and host to 9 of the 24 Grand Finals endgames (4 NAC, 5 EU). The bill ran from 143 m (EU G12) to a worst case of 1,292 m (NAC G10). Most weekends, the endgame simply came to them.

They out-live the field
The movement traces close the case. ritualx logged 222.1 minutes alive — 10th of 200 players — and cold 219.5 (14th), while their total distances, 40.63 km and 37.31 km, ranked just 102nd and 118th. Top-15 survival clocks on bottom-half mileage is the placement-operator profile in two numbers: they don't out-sprint lobbies, they outlast them from a cheap seat. Even the vulture economy barely touched them — ritualx took one stolen finish and was robbed twice; cold stole none and was robbed three times.

The arc: one zero, one adjustment, no drama
Day 1 delivered both extremes. Games 5 and 6 were back-to-back 2nd places — Game 6 the weekend high at 92 points on 9 eliminations, eight of them cold's — while Game 4 was the floor: 46th, zero points, zero elims, 232 total damage. What happened next is the most professional stat in this report. From Game 5 on they shifted their landing about 102 meters deeper into the Battlewoods pocket (Game 6 excepted) — and finished top-16 in every game from Game 5 onward.
Day 2 never reached another podium — six finishes between 7th and 16th — but it never needed to. Their average placement moved from 11.17 on Day 1 to 11.00 on Day 2, a 0.17 swing that made them the steadiest of the six duos we profiled: the next-flattest, aj + veno5x, swung 0.83, and the other four all moved by 3+ places. Champions acоrn + boltzZzero0 needed a win to clear them by 33. ritualx and cold just filed the same day twice.
How we measured this
Every stat here was parsed from Epic's public server-side tournament replays by the ELITE data desk — kill feed, replay-derived damage, movement traces, and zone telemetry. Players are tracked by account id, because display names change mid-event; names are shown as they appeared. Per-game points were recomputed from the official Major 2 scoring table (source: Liquipedia) and match Epic's official leaderboard for all 50 NAC duos. Per-player eliminations use Epic's replicated kill counter. Kill-feed ordering is reliable but carries no clock times, so no time-of-fight claims are made here.
