FNCS Major 2 Grand Finals, by the numbers: 24 games, 2,337 deaths, one dataset
twis acorn and twis boltzZzero0 survived the most chaotic lobby of the year to take NAC on 617 points. AG Scroll and AG Sky lapped Europe on 732 with four wins. The ELITE data desk parsed Epic's server-side tournament replays for all 24 games — 2,337 deaths, 1,524 measured finishes, every rotation traced — so every claim below is a number, not a take.

The short version
twis acorn + twis boltzZzero0 won NAC with 617 series points (47 elims, 9.0 average placement, 1 win), and AG Scroll 10ǃ + AG Sky. won EU with 732 points and 4 victories in 12 games. Across both regions the Grand Finals ran 24 games on August 1–2, 2026 — 50 duos per lobby, 2,337 deaths, and 1,524 measured player-vs-player finishes, all parsed from Epic's server-side tournament replays by the ELITE data desk.
The winners: NAC crowned eleven duos, EU crowned six
The two regions told opposite stories. NAC produced 11 distinct winning duos in 12 games — only XSET Muz 7ǃ + DT Rise doubled up (games 3 and 8). EU produced six, because AG Scroll 10ǃ + AG Sky. won four of them (games 3, 4, 7 and 9) while AUR shxrk 19ǃ + AUR t3eny, VP Th0masHD + el Focus yhyh and havok swizzyǃ + HvK pixie bää 67 took two apiece. That is the whole tournament in one contrast: NAC was a coin-flip lobby where consistency won the title; EU was a procession behind one duo.
The points table says the same thing. Scroll + Sky's 732 came with an 8.0 average placement and 54 elims — 115 points clear of the NAC champions. acorn + boltzZzero0's 617 was built on placement (9.0 average) with a single Victory Royale in game 11. Behind them, GEN ritualx 9ǃ + twis cold 11ǃ took NAC second on 584, and GEN aj + XSET veno5x rode a region-best 64 team elims to third on 561.
Series points — the podium race

The fraggers: aj's 27, pollo's 10,814
GEN aj was the weekend's elim king with 27 in 12 games, six clear of KoS Curve and XSET veno5x (21 each). GEN Kraezfv followed on 19, with a four-way pack — DT Rise, falcon peterbotǃ, twis acorn and GEN KINGALING — on 18. Notice the pattern: the entire top of the individual elim board is NAC. Europe's frag production was flatter, spread across the lobby rather than concentrated in stars.
Damage tells it the same way at the top and differently underneath. falcon pollo 10ǃ led everyone with 10,814 replay-derived net damage — 901 per game — while DIG VicterV's 10,420 included the single biggest game anyone had all weekend: 1,950 in NAC game 10. EU's best, AUR shxrk 19ǃ, sat at 9,251. But sum the lobbies and EU out-damaged NAC 397,755 to 384,409 — the same shape as the elim ledger, where EU edged NAC 1,193 to 1,185. NAC had the ceiling; EU had the floor.

How pros actually fight: 80% of kills happen inside 25 meters
We measured the distance of every one of the 1,524 player-vs-player finishes. The result should recalibrate how you practice: 80% landed under 25m, the median finish was just 6.7m (7.2 in NAC, 6.4 in EU), and the 90th percentile was 47m. Only nine finishes all weekend came from beyond 200m. Pro Fortnite is a knife fight — the long-range beam is the exception, not the skill that decides games. The longest of the weekend: 445m by cyn kxyin 23 on spr avari yfg in NAC's second game of Day 1, ahead of M8 Vergoǃ's 212m and a 209m finish by bugha 6.
Still, finals lobbies do stretch further than regular-season play. Against a baseline of 42 Div-1 finals games from last season, fight volume was nearly identical (64.6 vs 63.6 direct finishes per game) — but Grand Finals produced 3.8× more 100m+ finishes (1.71 vs 0.45 per game), doubled the share of 50m+ finishes (9.3% vs 4.6%), and pushed the 90th-percentile distance up 47%.
Then there is the dirty work. Of 1,181 enemy-knock conversions, 165 were finished by a team that didn't get the knock — a 14% steal rate, and EU vultured harder: 15.0% (89 of 594) to NAC's 12.9% (76 of 587). The most committed thief was EU's XP42 frxstyyǃ with five stolen finishes. And one genuine grudge match: spr dolzeur eliminated cyn kxyin 23 four times (NAC games 3, 7, 8 and 12); kxyin got him back twice.

The island: Battlewoods hosted the weekend, 55% never mattered
Where did it all end? The Battlewoods was the nearest major POI to 9 of the 24 endgame circles — Frosted Flats and Sinister Strip drew 4 each, Heatwave Harbor 3. One single point near The Battlewoods sat inside 6 of the 24 zone-5s. Meanwhile, 55% of the island's land never fell inside any endgame circle all weekend, and 7 of the 13 major POIs — Cluster Coast, WonkeeLand, Latte Landing, Sunken Shores, Golden Grove, Chopped Shop and Lifty Lodge — were never inside a zone-5 at all.
That geography is a real cost you pay at the drop screen. Averaged over all 24 games, a duo dropping Cluster Coast faced a 1.40 km straight-line rotation to the zone-5 center (1.26 in NAC, 1.54 in EU) — the worst tax on the island — while Battlewoods residents paid just 0.56 km. Zone pacing itself is on rails: the identical 11-phase radius ladder ran in all 24 games, lock-to-lock gaps equal to within 0.1 seconds. The storm's timing is deterministic; only its address changes — NAC's circles stacked dead-center of the island while EU's scattered island-wide. If you're picking a drop for your own tournaments, this is exactly what our free ELITE drops map is built to answer.

The grind: winners out-live, they don't out-sprint
From the replay position traces: winning teams covered 4.55 km per game, exactly twice the 2.31 km of teams placing 26th–50th. But normalize for survival and the story flips — per minute alive, winners moved about 10% slower (216 vs 240 m/min in NAC). The extra kilometers come from being alive for the late zones, not from playing faster. Movement volume is a symptom of placement, not a cause — which is why chasing action early is a losing trade in a points format.
The endurance numbers are absurd on their own: reеtǃ covered 69.5 km across his 12 NAC games — the iron-man mark of the weekend — and AG Sky. spent 4h01m alive, the most of any player. All 200 finalists together ran 7,836 km, roughly 186 marathons. And the storm did not tax them equally: GodL Flickzy + GodL Chap (EU) averaged 1,052 meters outside each freshly locked zone per game — 12.6 km of forced running over the weekend — while CVX 2XBellyBoss + DIG OliverOG (NAC) paid just 42 m/game. Four of the five most-taxed duos were EU; the single worst moment was WBOTY Webster caught 1,341m outside zone 4's lock in NAC game 4.

The ELITE story: a Victory Royale and a 12-game experiment
Elite's own duo — Eomzo and Josh — played all 12 NAC games and left with the game 7 Victory Royale (11 elims, tied for the second-biggest winning frag game of NAC's weekend), 28 team eliminations, a 14.3 average placement and 509 series points. They were also the most balanced duo in the top 10 damage board: a 50.4/49.6 workload split, closer to even than any other elite pairing.
The stranger story is their drop. Eomzo and Josh shared the same ~15m patch of Shaken Sanctuary with an EU duo, Fredoxie0452 + M8 MariusCOW, all 12 games — both contested every single game. Same drop, two stories: 509 points against 150, a 14.3 average placement against 26.3, one win against a best finish of 15th. The difference wasn't the spot — it was what each duo did with it, down to a 250m forward camp and a 2½-minute gap in how long they stayed home. We built the full split-screen case study in the region-war piece.

Every stat on this page was parsed from Epic's public server-side tournament replays — movement traces, zone telemetry, the kill feed, and a replay-derived damage model. Player identity is tracked by account id, not display name, because names change mid-event. Kill-feed ordering is reliable but carries no clock times, so anything time-of-day is derived from the replay stream itself. As a sanity check, we computed series points independently and verified them against Epic's official leaderboard: they matched for all 100 duos.
