GEN aj + XSET veno5x: a podium built almost half out of elim points
The ELITE data desk parsed all 12 of their NAC Grand Finals games from Epic's server-side replays. The verdict: the most eliminations of any duo in either region, the worst average placement of any NAC top-8 duo, and a podium anyway. This is the frag-first profile, game by game.
The short version
GEN aj + XSET veno5x finished 3rd in NAC with 561 points at the FNCS 2026 Major 2 Grand Finals (August 1–2) on the back of a both-region-most 64 team eliminations — despite a 19.42 average placement, the worst of any NAC top-8 duo. 256 of their 561 points (45.6%) came from elims, the highest elim-dependency of the six duos we profiled. By Epic's replicated kill counter, veno5x's 35 elims led all 200 Grand Finalists; aj's 30 ranked #5. One Victory Royale: Game 9, 11 elims, 109 points.

Most duos that podium a Grand Finals do it by surviving. aj and veno5x did it by shooting. Their 19.42 average placement would read like a mid-lobby weekend on any other card — 44th, 39th, 39th, 34th and 33rd all appear in their game log — and yet they left with third place, because when they scored, they scored in volume: five top-10 finishes that averaged huge elim hauls, capped by the Game 9 Victory Royale. Every number below is parsed from Epic's server-side replays, with placement, elims and points verified against the official leaderboard.

The signature: nobody out-fragged them. Nobody.
Start with the headline stat: 64 official team eliminations, the most by any duo in either region — second place on that board, EU's AUR duo, finished at 57. Under the hood the split is even more remarkable. By Epic's replicated kill counter, veno5x's 35 elims led the entire 200-player field (AUR t3eny was #2 at 34), and aj's 30 ranked #5. One duo, two of the field's five busiest triggers — and the elim points to show for it: 256 of their 561, a 45.6% share no other profiled duo approached.
veno5x didn't just shoot more — he lived in the crossfire. The weekend's kill-steal ledger has him on both pages: 4 stolen finishes, tied for 2nd-most in the Grand Finals (EU's XP42 frxstyyǃ led with 5), while being robbed 3 times himself. aj, by contrast, logged 1 steal and was never robbed. That is the statistical portrait of a player who is present at other teams' fights, on purpose, all weekend — the full vulture economy is broken down in the region-war article.

The damage board backs the workload story. The duo's 14,213 total damage ranked #6 among all 100 duos, with veno5x carrying 54.1% of the workload (7,735 damage, field #12) to aj's 45.9% (6,478, field #19). And they drew fire in proportion: veno5x absorbed 5,144 damage on the weekend, aj 4,644. Frag-first cuts both ways.
Their last signature is the drop. LAtte Landing, all 12 games, with a landing spread of just 10.9m on average (29.2m at worst) — and of the six duos we profiled, theirs was the only genuinely contested drop: last channce 24 + LEAF MADDENV's median landing sat 45 meters from theirs, every single game. The POI itself charged rent, too — a 927.9m average haul to zone 5, 9th of 13 tracked POIs, stretching to 1,722m at its cruelest. The full POI economics live in the zones and map analysis.

The arc: same profile, both days — then one perfect game
There was no Day 2 transformation here, just variance doing its thing: 19.83 average placement on Day 1, 19.0 on Day 2. Both days ran the same boom-bust script — Day 1 paired a 4th and a 6th with a 44th and a 39th; Day 2 opened 33rd and 39th before the weekend turned. Their storm luck wouldn't explain it either way: mid-field, in neither the five luckiest nor five unluckiest duos. And the grind was real — veno5x covered 51.37 km on foot across the series, aj 50.26 km, both top-30 walkers in the 200-player field.
The worst game and the best game were 48 hours' practice apart and read like different sports. Game 7: 33rd place, zero elims, zero points — the only blank of their weekend. Game 9: a Victory Royale with 11 eliminations, worth 109 points, aj's biggest damage game of the event (1,379) inside it — and it came without the Victory Crown. From Game 9 on they went 1st, 5th, 34th, 2nd: three top-5s in four games, 277 of their 561 points, and the podium was theirs.

The profile, in one sentence from the data desk: pure fraggers who pointed their way to a podium — the worst average placement of any NAC top-8 duo, rescued by the most elims of any duo in either region. How the rest of the NAC lobby played around them is in the NAC deep dive.
How we measured this
Every stat here was parsed from Epic's public server-side tournament replays by the ELITE data desk. Placements, team eliminations and points come from the duo card, recomputed with the official FNCS scoring table and verified equal to Epic's official leaderboard for all 50 NAC duos. Per-player eliminations use Epic's replicated kill counter (team sums validated 48/50 against Osirion); the per-player sum (65) differs from the official duo total (64) by an official correction. Damage is net damage to players — health plus shield, overkill and structures excluded. Steals come from the kill-feed ledger, which is order-only: it carries no clock times, so we make no claims about when fights happened. Players are tracked by account id, names displayed as-is.
