Four crowns in twelve games: the Scroll & Sky show

No duo in either region touched what AG Scroll 10ǃ + AG Sky. did to the EU lobby. Wins in games 3, 4, 7 and 9. 732 series points — 158 clear of second-place AUR shxrk 19ǃ + AUR t3eny on 574 — built on 54 team eliminations and an 8.0 average placement across all twelve games. For scale: NAC's series winners, twis acorn + twis boltzZzero0, topped their region with 617 points and a single win. Scroll and Sky won four.

The engine behind it was time. AG Sky. spent 4 hours 1 minute alive across the weekend — more than any of the 200 finalists in either region. An 8.0 average placement means they reached the endgame virtually every drop of the bus, and in a format where placement compounds, a duo that simply refuses to die early turns every game into a points floor with a win condition on top. Compare that with the churn in the NAC Grand Finals, where eleven different duos took a crown and nobody stacked more than two.

Four duos won multiple times — Scroll + Sky (4), shxrk + t3eny (2), Th0masHD + Focus (2), swizzy + pixie (2) — and only XSET ØØ8 + troolyǃ and GLORE F1SHYX 27 + Pandore Huty won exactly once. F1SHYX's game 11 crown was the closest EU came to a surprise winner all weekend. Note the elim counts: EU's biggest winning-team hauls were Th0masHD + Focus's 11 in game 5 and shxrk + t3eny's 10 in game 8 — nobody in EU approached NAC's 23-elim win by skqttler + cyn kxyin 23.

EU fought closer — and dirtier

EU narrowly out-fragged NAC across the weekend: 1,193 eliminations to 1,185 — 99.4 per game versus 98.8 — and out-damaged NAC too, 397,755 net damage to players against 384,409. The game-by-game frag battle finished 5-5 with two ties, which is exactly why the NAC vs EU region war needed a full article to settle. EU's damage ceiling belonged to AUR shxrk 19ǃ at 9,251 for the weekend.

The texture of EU's fighting was different, though. Of 1,524 measured PvP finishes across both regions, 80% happened under 25 metres — but EU's median finish was 6.4 metres to NAC's 7.2. EU killed at wall-swap range. And EU shared less politely: 15.0% of EU's enemy-knock conversions (89 of 594) were finished by a team that never got the knock, against 12.9% (76 of 587) in NAC — 14% overall. The event's top vulture was EU's own XP42 frxstyyǃ with 5 stolen finishes. Competitively that matters: every stolen finish is a refresh and a surge tag banked without paying the cost of the fight, and in a 6.4-metre lobby the third team is always close enough to collect.

The cursed lobby: EU paid the storm tax

We scored storm luck as a “storm tax” — the metres a duo sat outside each freshly locked zone from phase 3 onward, summed per game. By that measure EU was the unlucky region: four of the five most-taxed duos of the whole event were EU teams, headlined by GodL Flickzy + GodL Chap at 1,052 metres per game — 12.6 km of out-of-zone travel across the weekend. The blessed end of the spectrum lived in NAC, where CVX 2XBellyBoss + DIG OliverOG averaged just 42 metres per game — a 25-fold gap in rotation burden between the luckiest and unluckiest duos in the field.

Why it matters: metres outside a fresh zone convert directly into burned mats, chip damage and late arrivals into real estate other teams already hold. A duo paying a kilometre of tax per game is fighting for entry every single zone while a zero-tax duo pre-positions and farms. That EU's pain was spread across multiple duos — rather than one catastrophic moment — is exactly what the scatter of EU's zones would predict.

EU's zones went everywhere

Zone pacing at this event was on rails — the same 11-phase radius ladder ran in all 24 games, with lock-to-lock gaps identical to within 0.1 seconds — so the only variable that mattered was where the circles went. And there the regions split completely: NAC's twelve zone-5s stacked dead-centre of the island, while EU's scattered island-wide. Across both regions The Battlewoods was the nearest major POI to 9 of 24 endgame circles, and rotation tax averaged from 0.56 km (The Battlewoods) up to 1.40 km for Cluster Coast — a figure that got worse in EU games, 1.54 km, than in NAC's 1.26. The full map breakdown, including the 55% of the island that never sat inside any zone-5 all weekend, is in our zones and map analysis.

The practical read for anyone grinding EU: with zone location this volatile, your drop's average rotation cost matters more than any single game's. That is exactly what the free ELITE drops map is built to show — contest risk and rotation burden per POI before you commit a season to a landing spot.

The cautionary tale of Shaken Sanctuary

One drop spot, two regions, two completely different tournaments. EU's Fredoxie0452 + M8 MariusCOW and NAC's Elite EomzoӜ + elite josh 19ǃ landed on the same ~15-metre spot at Shaken Sanctuary in all 12 of their games, and both were contested every single game — the EU contest, havok woxshter + kiiro1k-, traded 1-1 with them across the weekend. From identical real estate: 150 points versus 509. Average placement 26.3 versus 14.3. Team elims 21 versus 48. Damage 8,129 versus 11,754. Zero wins (best finish 15th) versus a game 7 Victory Royale.

The replays say the gap was habits, not talent. Fredoxie + Marius spent a median of 7 minutes 15 seconds at the POI each game — Eomzo and Josh spent 4:44, working out of a forward camp 250 metres outside it — and their landing spread was ±39 metres against the NAC duo's ±11. Loose landings feed the contest; long loots feed the zone. Fredoxie + Marius died mid-game in all 12 games, and their two best finishes (15th, twice) came precisely when the zone let them stay home. The duo they mirrored won games by leaving fastest. If you want the full split card — and the 12-game truce NAC's contest turned into — it's in the main stat hub, and the Elite side of the story runs through Eomzo and Josh's pages.

How we measured this

Every stat on this page was parsed by the ELITE data desk from Epic's public server-side tournament replays — movement traces, zone telemetry, the kill feed and a replay-derived damage model. Players are tracked by account id, not display name, because names change mid-event. Kill-feed ordering is reliable but carries no clock times. As a sanity check, our computed series points were verified against Epic's official leaderboard and matched exactly for all 100 duos across both regions. In total we mapped 2,337 deaths across the 24 games — 1,163 of them in EU lobbies.
