Duo Duel FNCS 2026 Major 2 · Grand Finals · NAC
One win each, opposite engines: the neighbor feud that split 120 points
Two NAC duos landed 265–337 meters apart in every one of the 12 Grand Finals games, each won exactly one, and share an identical median finish. One duo walked farther than almost anyone in the event; the other barely moved and out-shot the field. The replays explain the 120-point gap — and the 8-meeting feud.
The short version
DIG VictеrV + queasy444 and KoS Curve + XSET Higgsǃ each won exactly one NAC Grand Finals game, share an identical median finish of 11th, and landed 265–337 meters apart in every one of the 12 games. Curve + Higgs turned the event's #2 and #4 movement totals (67.05 and 64.72 km) into 4th place with 525 points; VictеrV + queasy444 turned the field's #2 damage player into 11th with 405. Same median, same neighborhood — the 120-point gap is five bust games against one.

Side by side: same median, opposite shapes
In a 50-duo NAC lobby, Curve + Higgs finished 4th with 525 points — 92 behind champions twis acоrn + twis boltzZzero0's 617 — while VictеrV + queasy444 landed 11th with 405, 212 back. Both duos won once, both by Victory Royale, and both in the weekend's opening act: Curve + Higgs took Game 1 with 12 team eliminations — the highest-elim win of all 12 NAC games — and VictеrV + queasy444 answered one game later, taking Game 2 with 7. That G1 was worth 113 points, a quarter of Curve + Higgs's entire event; the G2 reply was worth 93.
From there the ledgers diverge — not at the middle, at the tails. Both duos' median finish is exactly 11th. But VictеrV + queasy444 ran a standard deviation of 14.2 with five finishes of 25th or worse (35th, 42nd, 43rd, 25th, 30th) against 4 top-10s; Curve + Higgs ran an 8.8 with one bust all weekend (36th in Game 7) against 5 top-10s and 2 top-5s. Strip the tails and these duos are twins. The 120-point gap is entirely bust frequency.
Even the day-splits tell it: VictеrV + queasy444 scored 177 on Day 1 — 93 of it in the G2 win — then a quietly better 228 on Day 2. Curve + Higgs front-loaded 299 on Day 1 behind the big opener, then 226 on Day 2.

The Lifty Lodge feud: 8 meetings, one mirror
These duos were permanent next-door neighbors. Curve + Higgs dropped the edge of Lifty Lodge every game — 119 to 188 meters off the POI marker, never further. VictеrV + queasy444 held an unnamed compound roughly 420 meters east of Lifty Lodge, working two micro-spots before locking one from Game 6 on. Game after game, the two duos' landings sat 265–337 meters apart — all 12 times. Both were surgical about it: 28-meter average scatter around the centroid for VictеrV + queasy444, 30 for Curve + Higgs.
The neighborhoods weren't equally quiet, though. VictеrV + queasy444's compound drew traffic — 1up Jemitty + hylnd olk within ~205m for Games 9–12, mtrx bojifv + NS alongofm within ~220m for Games 6–8, plus four other duos passing through once or twice. Curve + Higgs's Lifty edge was nearly private: across the whole event only prs bmj + jit qte angel ever landed inside 250 meters, twice.
For five games the neighbors ignored each other — no kill-feed contact at all in Games 1–5, none in 7 or 10 either. Then, from Game 6, the feud: 8 direct meetings across 5 games. Knocks went 3–1 to Curve + Higgs; finishes split 2–2.
Look at who died. Each duo eliminated the other's support player exactly twice — and never the fragger. queasy444 fell to the neighbors in Games 6 and 11; Higgs fell to VictеrV in Game 8 and to queasy444, from one meter, in Game 12. Meanwhile each fragger was knocked exactly once by the rival duo — VictеrV by Higgs from 3 meters in Game 11, Curve by VictеrV from 47 in Game 12 — and neither knock was ever converted by the duo that earned it.
That Game 12 knock is the feud in miniature. VictеrV finally put the rival fragger on the ground — and GEN Kraezfv stole the finish. It was VictеrV's fourth robbed knock of the finals, tying him for most-robbed player of both regions alongside HvK IDropY281 and AG Scroll 10ǃ: third parties also took his knocks on sеekǃ (Game 4, finished by XSET veno5x), OE slepzi17 (Game 11, Twitch liamtfup) and XP42 Visxals (Game 12, psr vleccks). The feud itself leaked the same way twice — Curve's 40-meter knock on queasy444 in Game 9 was also finished by XSET veno5x. Curve's season of vulturing balanced out differently: robbed 3 times, he stole 2 finishes of his own (both in Game 8, taking nut 14 off DIG COOP3R 78's knock and 1tr synix off NTX shadow1x's) and converted 11 knocks clean to VictеrV's 8.

Opposite engines: the grinders vs the gunners
Here is what actually separates two duos with the same median. Curve + Higgs are a movement engine: Curve covered 67.05 km of ground after landing — #2 of all 200 Grand Finals players, behind only reеtǃ's 69.5 — and Higgs 64.72 km, #4. They also stayed alive longest of the pair: 223.3 and 218.6 summed minutes to VictеrV's 196.6 and queasy444's 192.0. VictеrV + queasy444 are the inversion — queasy444 ranked #98 in movement (41.2 km) and VictеrV #127 (34.9 km), bottom half of the event — while out-damaging the neighbors from a compound they barely left.
All that mileage carried a toll. Curve + Higgs paid 791.1 meters of storm tax per game — distance caught outside the freshly locked circle from phase 3 on — 9,493 meters in total, 5th-unluckiest of 99 duos in the event, with five games over 1,000m including 1,465m in the Game 11 they somehow finished 4th in. VictеrV + queasy444 paid 501.0 per game (6,012 total) — above the field median of 378.4, but roughly 37% lighter than their neighbors, with their worst two draws back-to-back in Games 7 (1,373m) and 8 (1,386m).
The gunners' side of the ledger is just as lopsided. VictеrV + queasy444 out-damaged Curve + Higgs 14,581 to 12,548 despite finishing seven places lower. VictеrV's 10,420 made him #2 of all 200 players — behind only falcon pollo 10ǃ's 10,814 — and his 1,950-damage Game 10 was the single biggest damage game in either region (the next best anywhere, pollo's 1,902). He carried 73.2% of the duo's damage and 27 of its 36 counted eliminations. And queasy444's stat line is the quiet definition of a bodyguard: 3,517 damage taken to VictеrV's 3,509 — dead even — while dealing 40% of what his fragger deals.
Curve + Higgs distribute more. Curve's 7,771 ranked #5 in NAC (#10 overall) at a 65.4% share, with Higgs contributing 34.6% and peaking at 1,086 in the Game 1 win; the elim counters split 31–14. But unlike the neighbors, their fragger also tanks the most — 4,437 damage taken to Higgs's 3,444. The team totals still went their way where it counts: 44 team eliminations to 35.
The scoreboard's verdict on the two builds is unambiguous: the grinders' low-variance engine finished 4th with 525; the gunners' boom-bust engine finished 11th with 405. For anyone planning their own drops, this pair is the cleanest case study the finals produced — same neighborhood, same landing discipline, different downstream risk appetite. How we measured this
Every stat here was parsed from Epic's public server-side tournament replays by the ELITE data desk — kill feed, replay-derived damage, movement traces and zone telemetry — with players joined by Epic account id, because display names change mid-event. Kill-feed ordering is reliable but carries no clock times, so head-to-head events are reported in order only. Series points recomputed from placements and eliminations with the official scoring table land exactly on both duos' official totals (405 and 525). Two counting notes: headline team-elim figures (35 and 44) use the scoring-consistent totals, while Epic's per-player kill counters sum one higher for each duo and are used only for intra-duo splits; and VictеrV + queasy444's storm tax is a recompute with the same metric as the published rankings, validated by reproducing Curve + Higgs's figures to within 0.1%. Neither duo landed inside a named POI — "Lifty Lodge" is the nearest named marker to both spots.
